Hello and welcome.
I have a down-to-earth approach to therapy, and my natural curiosity leads me to ask questions which help me understand more about you and how you work.
Your ultimate goal should be finding a therapist you enjoy working with. Someone who provides a safe, comfortable working space and works with you conscientiously and respectfully.
I have worked with clients who have experienced abuse, anxiety, bereavement, bullying, cultural issues, depression, discrimination, feeling suicidal, gender and sexuality issues, intercultural adjustment, racism, relationship difficulties (personal or work-related), self-harm, separation/divorce, sexual violence, stress, trauma and workplace bullying.
Some common issues couples bring are affairs and infidelity, communication, lack of desire or different levels of desire, unmet emotional needs, parenting styles, sex, sexual dysfunctions, etc. Couples may also seek counselling to get to know each other at a "deeper" level as they progress in their relationship.
I have also worked at an LGBTQI+ charity working with gender, sexuality and identity and at a rape crisis centre.
